Pluto's Lawyer + The Choir Invisible

Pluto's Lawyer - 8:30
Davy Lazar (trumpets, compositions) and Kate Gentile (drums) seek and destroy within dense monophonic thresholds. Davy's composing and improvising deliberately take a wide berth around typical trumpet material, instead embracing the instrument's percussive, intervallic, and catastrophic potential. Kate's long-stewing relationship with intricate and complex music amasses in an immediately identifiable voice equally yolked in both focused nuance and complete abandon. Together they forge knotty alloys of abstraction and realization, only to be reassembled in the hot bubbly cauldron of your brainmeat.

The Choir Invisible - 9:30
A compositionally collective trio comprised of Charlotte Greve (alto sax), Chris Tordini (bass), Vinnie Sperrazza (drums).

Both bands are guaranteed to knock your wool socks right off. Don't get cold feet beforehand, though - come out! $10 for the night!
