JOSEPH JARMAN (1937-2019), a saxophonist, multi-reedist, percussionist, poet, and composer was a charter member of Chicago’s Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) and a staple of the Art Ensemble of Chicago. Joseph was also a Buddhist priest and Aikido master. Charmgiver will play many of Joseph’s songs with lyrics that reflect his spiritual life as a Buddhist.
