Divine Pivot is a collaboration between Shinya Lin, Leo Chang, and Evan Palmer, exploring the intersection of acoustic and electronic sound through electroacoustic performance. The instrumentation includes prepared piano, acoustic bass, oboe, piri, suona, VOLCONORI—an amplified gong system developed by Leo Chang—synthesizers, and sample manipulation using MaxMSP by Shinya Lin.

Each performer contributes a distinct approach informed by their research and instrument customization. Rather than adhering to a fixed structure, the project evolves through interaction, allowing the acoustic and electronic elements to shape the music in real time. By integrating traditional and experimental techniques, Divine Pivot examines how sound traditions adapt within electronic sonic environments.
