Yoon Sun Choi, born in South Korea, raised in Canada and now a New York-based improvising vocalist and pianist using her vocal prowess that transitions effortlessly from resonant, haunting melodies to deep, resonant wails. Yoon has made significant contributions to the music scene over her twenty-year-long career performing and collaborating with esteemed artists including Mark Dresser, Darius Jones, Jacob Sacks, and Kenny Wheeler, on prestigious stages such as The Blue Note, Birdland, and Carnegie Hall.

Kana Miyamoto is a Japanese flutist whose work brings together jazz, improvisation, environmental sound, and diverse musical influences. Through projects including Kanacept, In the Forest, and Duo Connections, she creates opportunities for dialogue across people, places, and musical cultures. She is the winner of the 2024 National Flute Association Jazz Artist Competition and a recipient of Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs Program of Overseas Study for Upcoming Artists.

Emi Makabe is a Japanese composer, vocalist, shamisen player, and educator based in New York City. Her music blends jazz, Japanese folk traditions, classical, pop, rock, and improvisation. She has performed and toured throughout the U.S., Europe, and Japan, collaborating with artists including Bill Frisell, Jason Moran, Thomas Morgan, Kenny Wollesen, and Kit Downes. Her albums have been released on Greenleaf Music and Sunnyside Records.

SARAH BERNSTEIN is a New York-based violinist/composer whose work blurs the lines between innovative jazz, new chamber music, experimental pop and noise music. Over the course of twelve albums as a leader and countless collaborations, she has garnered international acclaim for her multi-disciplinary performances and distinctive recordings. She leads the improvising string ensemble VEER Quartet and the avant-jazz Sarah Bernstein Quartet, performs heavily-processed voice/violin solo as Exolinger and in duo with drummer Kid Millions, and fronts the darkwave band Day So Far.
